We are looking for a ‘Head of Operations’ who will join our team of 10 to build and lead the operational foundations that enable Trudenty to scale — overseeing delivery, compliance, and company-wide processes as we drive adoption of the Consumer Trust Network across the commerce and payments ecosystem. 🧞
About Trudenty
Trudenty helps merchants, PSPs, and acquirers prevent first-party fraud through privacy-preserving consumer intelligence. Its core technology, the Consumer Trust Index, uses machine learning and distributed infrastructure to identify first-party fraudsters before they strike—without exposing personal data. We embed directly into payment and refund flows, to deliver real-time trust insights that reduce losses, lower operational costs, and strengthen consumer relationships.

We work from our office in central London three days a week (Tuesday to Thursday) and remotely on Mondays and Fridays.
The role
We’re looking for a Head of Operations to design and lead the operational backbone of Trudenty.
You’ll be responsible for turning strategy into execution — owning delivery, compliance, and internal systems as we scale from early pilots to repeatable commercial success.
This is a hands-on, high-impact leadership role for someone who brings structure, clarity, and operational excellence to a fast-moving, founder-led environment. You’re comfortable collaborating across functions, adapting quickly as priorities shift, and keeping multiple projects in motion — often at once — while maintaining focus on execution and continuous improvement.
A bit more on what you’ll do:
1. Operational Leadership
- Build and evolve Trudenty’s internal processes and systems across delivery, people, finance, and compliance — creating structure without slowing momentum.
- Translate vision into execution, turning company strategy and OKRs into clear, measurable outcomes.
- Develop documentation, dashboards, and playbooks that bring clarity and enable others to execute confidently.
- Drive company rhythm — planning, reporting, and execution cadences that keep everyone aligned and moving forward.
2. Pilot & Program Delivery
- Drive pilot execution with clients, partnering with the founder to turn strategic relationships into successful, high-impact programs that demonstrate Trudenty’s value in the market.
- Work hand-in-hand with product, engineering, and commercial teams to ensure seamless delivery and fast learning cycles.
- Capture insights from each pilot and turn them into repeatable operational playbooks that accelerate scale.
3. People & Team Operations
- Lead the hiring process from role design to onboarding, partnering with the founder on final decisions to ensure alignment with Trudenty’s vision, values, and pace.
- Build efficient, compliant HR and people operations that support a culture of trust and accountability.
- Shape how the team works together, setting the cadence, communication flow, and rituals that make execution smooth and transparent.
4. Governance, Compliance & Risk
- Maintain Trudenty’s SOC 2 and ISO 27001 frameworks, keeping our compliance and security posture strong as we scale.
- Manage the compliance calendar, coordinate audits, and ensure cross-functional accountability for controls and evidence.
- Collaborate closely with engineering, legal, and external auditors to uphold data privacy and protection standards.
- Lead company-wide security training and annual policy refreshes — keeping security woven into daily operations.
- Track compliance KPIs and drive continuous improvement of our Information Security Management System (ISMS).
- Partner with leadership on GDPR readiness and client-specific compliance requirements.
5. Finance, Legal & Vendor Operations
- Partner with the founder on budgeting, forecasting, and financial operations — ensuring visibility and agility in decision-making.
- Coordinate with accountants and legal partners on filings, renewals, and contracts.
- Manage vendor relationships and risk assessments, balancing operational efficiency with compliance discipline.
6. Continuous Improvement
- Proactively identify and solve operational challenges across teams.
- Introduce scalable workflows and tools that empower speed, ownership, and clarity.
- Foster a culture of curiosity, accountability, and continuous improvement, ensuring operations evolve as fast as the business does.
About you
You’re a hands-on operator who thrives in a fast-moving, founder-led environment. You bring experience working with enterprise clients and understand how to balance startup agility with the structure required in regulated contexts. You’re emotionally intelligent and adaptable — able to introduce process and discipline without slowing momentum. You bring calm, clarity, and focus to complexity, and know how to get things done when priorities shift and new opportunities emerge.
- 5–8 years’ experience in operations, strategy, or business management, ideally within fintech, SaaS, or payments.
- Proven ability to build structure from the ground up — designing systems, processes, and rhythms that create clarity and enable scale in dynamic environments.
- A hands-on operator who balances strategy with execution and thrives in the pace and ambiguity of an early-stage, founder-led company.
- Skilled at collaborating across commercial, product, engineering, and compliance teams, turning complex ideas into clear, actionable plans.
- An exceptional communicator — concise, transparent, and trusted to bring alignment and momentum across diverse stakeholders.
- Naturally adaptive and solutions-oriented, introducing process and accountability without slowing down innovation.
- Energized by the opportunity to work closely with the founder, helping translate vision into execution and shaping how the company scales in its next phase of growth.
Our offer:
- Cash: £80-100k (depending on experience)
- Equity: 1-2%, on a standard vesting schedule
